DESCRIPTION OF EVENT:

To gear up for next Monday’s big American Cancer Society fundraiser at Lagunitas Brewing Co., we’re counting down the top 6 reasons to attend. So here goes:

Reason # 6: The Beer Garden! For those who haven’t been, the Beer Garden at Lagunitas Brewing Co. is one of the nicest outdoor patios in Sonoma County. It’s contains lots of open seating, tables big and small, sunny spots, shady spots, cool pieces of art and is surrounded by an amphitheater, an upstairs bar (called The Taproom) and the main bar, complete with anywhere from 8-12 different types of fresh beer to cool down the thirstiest patrons. Perfect place for a summertime fundraiser… and quite a spot for a nice rock show.    (click “More”)

Reason # 5: Prizes! What kind of fundraiser would this be without a raffle full of awesome prizes? A no-fun-draiser! (Oh my, we need to do better than that… somebody get us a ghost writer!) Anyway, there WILL be a raffle with all sorts of great prizes from local companies (such as CamelBak). Raffle tickets are a dollar each and there’s no limit to how many you can purchase

Reason # 4: Food! Ahh, yes. You didn’t think we’d set up a Monday evening event at the best brewery all around without at least providing you with some dinner, did you? There will be a BBQ oyster bar ($1 each) and Roy’s Chicago Style Hot Dog Stand… mmm. All proceeds from food purchases (beer, too) will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Reason # 3: An outdoor concert on a sweet July evening – Let’s face it: Over The Falls doesn’t get out much. Usually, the Man tries to keep good rock bands down by sticking them into musty dive bars. But not this time! Over The Falls and our brothers The Business End get to sing to the clouds, which will be a nice summer treat for all of us. Not to mention, the beginning of the show will mark the VERY FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE by Rectifier (featuring members of OTF, TBE and uMend). Don’t be late! And to close the evening, we have a very special set planned with some recognizable tunes to boogie to. Music starts at 5:45; ends at 8:30. Good Times!

Reason # 2: Beer! This one’s pretty obvious. Lagunitas makes great beer. Period. No contest. And not only is their wide selection (8 to 12 varieties) going to be available to you, but every dollar spent on every beer goes to the fundraiser. Those guys are the best! Don’t forget, you get a token for one free beer with your donation/admission.

Reason # 1: The Cause – Not to be a bummer, but cancer sucks. It takes a lot of effort and resources to fight it, as countless people do on a daily basis. We are honored to be a part of that fight with this event, and implore you to join us and help use our music for the greater good. Remember, all proceeds (from admission, beer, food, raffle… everything!) go to the American Cancer Society. Thanks to ACS, Lagunitas, Roy’s Chicago Hot Dogs and all the bands for throwing in their weight. This is going to be a great evening. Don’t miss it!
