Ænimus is a fast rising technical deathcore band from Santa Rosa, CA. Since forming in late 2010, the band has had an immediate impact within the extreme metal scene, gaining thousands of fans from all across the globe and earning the respect of some of their more established Metal peers. With the exception of guitarist Brian James (aka ‘Deebs’) having never been in a band prior to joining Ænimus, the rest of the guys have experience from previous bands and have done successful West Coast tours and shared the stage with some of the biggest names in modern Metal, including but not limited to: Whitechapel, Cannibal Corpse, Chimaira, Born of Osiris, and Unearth.

In April of 2011, Ænimus released a self-titled three song demo EP, which can be purchased via their Official Bandcamp page. The group is currently at home working on their debut full-length with their very own Nick Botelho (Drums, Owner/Engineer at NB Recording) at the helm. A late 2011/early 2012 release is expected.
