Bio:

Don’t Be the Hero is a four piece, alternative rock band from Oakland, CA. Originally a three piece, Chaz Miranda (vocalist/guitar), Troy Wise (vocalist/guitar), and Patrick Brown (drummer) collectively decided to open the position of rhythm guitar and find a new bassist. The band later added Clare Hunter (bass/vocals) as the fourth addition to the band. Starting off, Don’t Be the Hero released their first demo, Lemonade, with Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland, June 23rd, 2011. Shortly after, they received their first show opportunity at Roosters in Alameda, CA. Entertaining a small crowd of friends and family with their energy, stage banter, and catchy melodies, the band continued to flourish. On September 5th, 2012 they entered Mad House Studio to record their first EP self titled, Don’t Be the Hero. The five track EP was released at the Red House in Walnut Creek, CA on October 7th, 2012. The band has gone from playing shows at Roosters to being featured regularly at Emeryville’s Bay St. Mall, and has also played a few shows at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco as well as a number of other venues throughout the Bay Area. Don’t Be the Hero is now planning their first tour for the summer of 2013
